'I take the Commission seriously' - Fadiel Adams

PRETORIA - "I take the Madlanga Commission seriously," National Coloured Congress (NCC) leader Fadiel Adams testified.

Adams appeared before the Commission on Wednesday. This was after his matter was postponed following his earlier appearance on 11 August.

At his first appearance, he told the Commission that he did not see the Rule 3 notice sent to him in October 2025. He said his official laptop had not been working and he could not access it.

In its response, Parliament refuted the claims, saying it was unaware that his official device was not operational.

Adams went on various media interviews and social media posts that raised concern with the Commission.

"Do you take this Commission seriously?" Commission chairperson Mbuyiseli Madlanga asked Adams.

Adams responded in the affirmative.

"I am here; I arrived a day early at my own expense, twice," he said.

After an eNCA video aired about his utterances minutes before appearing at the Commission, he conceded that he forgot about receiving the Commission's email and not what he had previously said that he did not receive it
