CAPE TOWN - Police Minister Senzo Mchunu has told Parliament illegal mining will not be resolved unless South Africa's porous borders are effectively managed.
Mchunu and his cabinet colleague Gwede Mantashe have appeared in a joint portfolio committee meeting.

The two ministers are collaborating to address illegal mining -- a problem that directly affects their respective departments.
Parliament has welcomed the collaboration between the two departments.
