PRETORIA - North West businessman Suliman Carrim has insisted he did not abandon the Madlanga Commission.
Carrim maintained his claim that his absence from the Commission was due to medical reasons.
He also complained about feeling ill during his appearance at the Pretoria Magistrate's Court.
" Up to now, my psychiatrist and all the reports are available. They are with the Commission. I am still not in the condition. Even what's happening to me right now, I've briefed my counsel. I've not taken my medication.
"I can feel my mouth is dry. I'm dizzy. I just told my counsel about it. I'm still under that condition. But I did say, and I need to put this on record, in my warning statement yesterday, I did say that I was going to get this medical treatment to get better to come back to the commission. It's in my warning statement."
