JOHANNESBURG - Authorities have ordered former Ekurhuleni City Manager Imogen Mashazi to report to police.
eNCA understands there are four active arrest warrants for officials.
All four appeared before the Madlanga Commission. Police carried out a search-and-seizure at one suspect’s home last night.
The Commission has heard that in 2023, IPID formally handed an investigative report to the City of Ekurhuleni.
The report recommended disciplinary action against suspended EMPD Deputy Chief Julius Mkhwanazi for alleged fraud and corruption. Instead, officials allegedly promoted Mkhwanazi.
