CAPE TOWN - Parliament's impeachment committee will appeal the high court ruling that halted its proceedings.
The Committee has voted in favour of appealing the court's interim order.
Last week, the Western Cape High Court ruled in favour of President Cyril Ramaphosa to interdict the work of the impeachment committee.
Ramaphosa wants Parliament's impeachment committee to halt its work while he reviews the Section 89 panel report.
The President is contesting the Section 89 panel’s finding of prima facie evidence that he may have violated the Constitution and the law.
