CAPE TOWN - The Section 89 Impeachment Committee has rescinded its nomination of Advocate Thandazani Madonsela as evidence leader.
The decision follows President Cyril Ramaphosa’s objection to the appointment, citing potential conflicts of interest.
The committee had been seeking legal advice on the objection and will now have to decide how to proceed with appointing an evidence leader.
