JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramaphosa's bid to halt the work of Parliament's Impeachment Committee will be heard in court on 15 and 16 July.
Ramaphosa on Friday launched an urgent application to interdict the committee, arguing that a review of the independent Phala Phala report should be finalised before any impeachment process can continue.

Despite the legal challenge, Committee Chairperson Makashule Gana says preparations are continuing ahead of the committee's first meeting on 24 June.
The committee was established following a Constitutional Court ruling ordering Parliament to revisit the matter.
