ETHEKWINI - Two bodies have been recovered from a home in the Adams area of eThekwini.
Family members told eNCA's Nkosikhona Malinga-Mnisi that three children between seven and 14 escaped from the home.
The deceased are reported to be the mother and father of the three children.
Paramedics recovered the bodies after a mudslide swept over the house in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The two people were initially believed to be trapped, with some doubt over whether they survived the disaster.
Several other homes have also collapsed in KwaMakhutha on the KZN South Coast.
The eThekwini Fire Department is assisting paramedics with the rescue efforts.
