POLOKWANE - Five members of an alleged insurance-killing gang have been denied bail.
Limpopo cop Rachel Kutumela claimed R10-million for six people she allegedly fraudulently insured.
Her husband and four brothers appeared in the Polokwane magistrate's court on Friday.
Three other suspects were granted bail of R10,000 each.
The court found they did not present the same risks as the core family syndicate.
The state alleges Kutumela targeted at least nine unsuspecting, destitute victims to pocket millions in payouts.
