Interpol conference | Fears over criminals behind keyboards, not masks

CAPE TOWN - Global policing agency Interpol has ended its three-day African Regional Conference in Cape Town.

About 200 top cops from across the world were discussing how to combat transnational organised crime.

Cybercrime has been identified as their biggest threat.

On the plus side, South Africa's advanced financial systems help identify such crimes, but there are always new threats, including the use of cryptocurrencies.

After three days of deliberations, recommendations have been made for member states to follow through on.
