Joe ‘Ferrari’ Sibanyoni, co-accused challenge case re-enrolment

MBOMBELA - Mpumalanga taxi boss Joe 'Ferrari' Sibanyoni and his three co-accused including Oupa Johannes Sindane want the High Court in Mbombela to stop the re-enrolment of their extortion and money laundering case.

They filed an urgent application on Wednesday, asking the court to set aside J50 warrants of arrest.

They are due to hand themselves over at the Delmas police station.

The matter was struck off the roll by the Kwaggafontein Magistrate's Court after the prosecutor failed to show up in court after allegedly receiving death threats.

In court papers seen by eNCA, the two criticise the National Prosecuting Authority for not giving them time to make representations before re-enroling the case.
