BRAKPAN - Suspended Deputy Chief of the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Julius Mkhwanazi has been arrested again.
This time, in connection with the murder of Emmanuel Mbense in April 2022.
Mkhwanazi has been arrested alongside four others.

According to Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) spokesperson Lizzy Suping, the suspects face charges of murder and defeating the ends of justice.
Suping said the five are alleged to have played a role in the murder, the dumping of his body at Spaarwater Dam in Duduza, in Nigel and failing to report a crime.
The suspects are expected to appear before the Brakpan Magistrate's Court on 6 August.
