PRETORIA - Suspended EMPD deputy chief Julius Mkhwanazi is back at the Madlanga Commission on Wednesday.
His appearance comes hours after explosive evidence linked him to the alleged theft of precious stones worth R14.9 million.
Witness K, a JMPD inspector and Mkhwanazi’s former girlfriend, has admitted her role in the 2023 operation.

She told the commission she passed on information about the stones after Mkhwanazi repeatedly pressed her for details.
He allegedly arranged officers to unlawfully seize the stones from their owner.
