JOHANNESBURG - Suspended Gauteng Hawks head Ebrahim Kadwa looks set to appeal a High Court ruling against him.
The court earlier dismissed his application for the return of cellphones seized during his arrest.
Kadwa was arrested in May alongside Crime Intelligence deputy head Feroz Khan and businessman Tariq Downes.
They face charges of contravening the Precious Metals Act and defeating the ends of justice.
Kadwa’s legal team argued that police confiscated his devices without a search warrant.
After the court rejected the application, Kadwa has now indicated he intends to take the matter to the Supreme Court of Appeal in an effort to overturn the ruling.
