Katiso Molefe claims state's case is weak

JOHANNESBURG - Alleged Big 5 cartel member Katiso KT Molefe says the state's case against him is weak.

Molefe is accused of masterminding the murders of DJs Sumbody and Vintos and Vereeniging engineer Armand Swart.

His release on R500,000 bail has been contentious as allegations of him bribing top judges surfacing at the Madlanga Commission.

The state says it's ready to proceed with the trial.

Molefe and the co-accused will be back in court on 5 February 2026 for the start of their trial in the South Gauteng High Court.
