Kgaogelo Marota’s father vows vengeance if confessed killer is granted bail

PRETORIA -  “If they grant him bail, I will chop him into a million pieces myself.”

These are the words of grief-stricken father Thabiso Seema, who has threatened to take justice into his own hands if the man accused of killing his daughter is granted bail.

Twenty-year-old Kgaogelo Marota was stabbed multiple times outside a tavern in Maubane in the North West, allegedly by her ex-boyfriend.

The man then went back to his house, where he allegedly stabbed his current girlfriend multiple times.

She survived the attack and is recovering in hospital.

He then took to social media, where he tried to justify the attack.

Seema says he will not show mercy should he cross paths with the man.

"The damage is done. You can't kill a person like you are slaughtering a chicken. Even the confession doesn't even show any remorse, so I don't even care whether he confessed or he didn't confess, the only thing that I need now is that they should not grant him bail," he said.

The 26-year-old man is appearing in the Temba magistrate’s court.
