JOHANNESBURG - Justice Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi is taking the fight against gender-based violence and femicide to Soweto.
She will host a community imbizo at Phiri Sports Ground.
It will focus on strengthening efforts to prevent abuse and support victims and survivors.
It comes as the country still reels from the discovery of the bodies of 12 women in Ekurhuleni.
The programme will begin with a 600-metre Freedom March Against GBVF from Phiri Public Library to the sports ground.
Residents will also be briefed on the National Register for Sex Offenders.
