DURBAN - If you thought you'd seen everything on South African roads, think again.
A KwaZulu-Natal cop is in hot water for driving a vehicle without a very important feature.
That's right, no driver's door, just the officer exposed to the Durban North traffic.
The clip that has since gone viral, shows the officer in the marked vehicle cruising nicely.
Police say the door had to be removed after a run-in with a taxi to rescue a trapped officer.
The vehicle was being driven back to the station.
But, KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi is not taking a back seat.
He wants answers, saying the vehicle should not have been on the road.
Disciplinary action is being taken against the officers involved.
