In a statement, the provincial Transport Department said it has mandated the unit to dismantle a syndicate operating at various testing centres in the province facilitating the issuing of licences fraudulently.
“An employee of the department who is involved in this racket will be dealt with harshly,” read the statement.
It said between 30 to 50 percent of drivers on provincial roads were using licences obtained through fraud and corruption.
