KZN floods | KZN government to discuss flood planning

KWAMAKHUTA - The KwaZulu-Natal government will meet to discuss ways to prevent deaths and destruction due to climate change. 

MEC Siboniso Duma says key stakeholders will soon meet to discuss ageing infrastructure and potential threats to homes.

"In April, we will be having a climate conference in eThekwini, which is going to deal with, among others, designs," he said.

Duma has assured flood victims that they will receive all the aid they need.

He says families requiring help to bury their loved ones are also being considered.

In the coming days, the National Human Settlements department will be in KZN to further assist the flood victims.
