BAYVIEW - Survivors of KwaZulu-Natal’s 2022 floods have been displaced once more.
Five people were swept away from their Lamontville transit camp on Tuesday night and those who survived are back at a community hall.
On Wednesday, a government delegation visited the area in the aftermath of the tragedy.
They passed their condolences and offered relief while bemoaning the lack of good land to house people in Durban.

They denied placing 2022 flood survivors in a dangerous place.
But residents insist the area was always unsafe.
Other areas south of Durban have also experienced infrastructure damage and water and electricity supply interruptions.
