KZN Hawks head Senona fears for his life

JOHANNESBURG - KwaZulu-Natal Hawks head Lesetja Senona is concerned about his personal safety.

He says provincial police escorted him from his office and confiscated his electronic devices yesterday.

He was allegedly also followed to his home.

Senona had testified before the Madlanga Commission, admitting to his friendship with alleged cartel kingpin Vusimuzi ‘Cat’ Matlala.

The commission has given President Cyril Ramaphosa its recommendations and called for an investigation of those implicated in capturing the criminal justice system.

Senona is among those implicated.
