MANDENI - KwaZulu-Natal has introduced various initiatives to tackle the crisis of Gender-Based Violence.
However, these efforts do not appear to be effective, as women remain in grave danger in the province.
In the latest incident, the body of 26-year-old social worker Nomvula Ngubane was discovered in a shallow grave outside her ex-boyfriend’s house in Mandeni.
Ngubane went missing on Tuesday after going to finalise her recruitment to become a teacher assistant at a local school.
After a frantic two-day search, following several leads, her brothers made a gruesome find at the house of her ex-lover underneath some tree branches.
