JOHANNESBURG - Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala and four others are back in the Johannesburg High Court on attempted murder charges.
They are accused of trying to kill Matlala's former girlfriend and personality, Tebogo Thobejane.
There were also attempted hits on taxi boss Joe Ferrari Sibanyoni and music producer DJ Vettys.
But alleged hitman Musa Kekana claims his arrest and raid on his home were illegal.
A trial within a trial is now underway, which will decide the admissibility of the seized evidence.
The state is also expected to call a new witness to the stand.
