JOHANNESBURG - Alleged criminal kingpin Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala's attempted murder trial is set to get under way in the Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg.
Matlala, his wife Tsakane and three other co-accused face 25 charges. These include 11 counts of attempted murder linked to three separate shooting incidents.
The state alleges that Matlala orchestrated a series of attempted hits, including attacks targeting his former girlfriend, Tebogo Thobejane, Joe Sibanyoni and DJ Vettys.
