PRETORIA - The Senzo Meyiwa murder trial continues in the High Court in Pretoria on Thursday.
On Wednesday, Bongani Gininda, the lead investigator in the trial, dismissed claims that Longwe Twala accidentally shot himself in the foot during the struggle that killed the soccer star.
This seemingly again ruled out Twala as Meyiwa's alleged killer.
It follows the presentation of video footage in court showing Twala walking without injury, just a day after the shooting.
The claims were made by Thulani Mngomezulu, the now deceased lawyer for Accused 1, in August last year.
Investigating officer, Brigadier Bongani Gininda, insists there’s no evidence to support them.
