STELLENBOSCH - Mourners, family and friends have gathered in Stellenbosch to bid farewell to Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana star Jayden Adams.
He will be laid to rest in his hometown.
His loved ones have been joined by the football community, who gathered at Coetzenburg Sports Grounds to pay their last respects to the 25-year-old.
The midfield magician was found dead in a Cape Town apartment two weeks ago.
Affectionately known as 'Grootman,' Adams was hailed as an exceptionally gifted player and one of South Africa’s brightest football talents.
He recently represented South Africa at the FIFA World Cup.
His death remains under investigation.
