JOHANNESBURG - Eskom says its load reduction eradication programme is making significant progress.
Seven provinces are now completely free of load reduction and around 1.4 million customers have been restored to normal supply.

The number of affected customers has dropped from 1.69 million to just over 247,000, representing just 3.4% of Eskom’s customer base.
Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal are the only provinces where load reduction remains.
Eskom says it remains on track to eliminate load reduction for all customers by March next year.
