PRETORIA - KwaZulu-Natal Director of Public Prosecutions, Elaine Harrison, says that she heard about the disbandment of the Political Killings Task Team on social media.
She says the disbandment frustrated her as the team started bearing fruit.
Harrison is testifying at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry.
She said her team dedicated to political killings was seeing major successes.
Harrison was approached to set up a dedicated prosecutorial team to work with the police team.
Both the KZN and National Police Commissioners have already testified to the efficacy of the unit.
