JOHANNESBURG - The Madlanga Commission will resume its public hearings on 26 January.
A number of witnesses are still expected to testify.
The inquiry into corruption and political interference in the justice system began in September last year.
It followed allegations by KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi.

He told the commission that Police Minister Senzo Mchunu disbanded the Political Killings Task Team due to outside influence.
Crime Intelligence members linked the so-called BIG 5 cartel to members of the Hawks, while political fixer Brown Mogotsi denied involvement.
The Commission has also investigated alleged corruption in the Ekurhuleni Metro Police, in which suspended Deputy Chief Julius Mkhwanazi has been implicated.
