PRETORIA - Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) prosecutor Drushanta Ramsamy is expected back on the stand at the Madlanga Commission.
On Tuesday, she told the commission that suspended Police Minister Senzo Mchunu allegedly flouted protocol by sharing a confidential IGI report with IDAC chief investigator Dylan Perumal.
Her testimony has raised further questions about Mchunu’s alleged role in IDAC’s targeting of crime intelligence boss Lieutenant-General Dumisani Khumalo and suspended National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola.
The commission is also expected to provide an update on controversial businessman Suliman Carrim’s testimony.
Carrim has been called to testify several times but has repeatedly cited illness for his absence.
The commission will also hear an in-camera application by Witness P, who is expected to testify about alleged police hit squads and gangs in KwaZulu-Natal.
