BOKSBURG - ANC NEC member David Makhura has slammed large-scale corruption within the party.
He calls it counter-revolutionary and urges party leaders to act against those implicated.
“This [National] General Council says corruption is counter-revolutionary, it is the enemy of the people,” Makhura said.
“ANC members who are involved in acts of corruption must know that they are acting against the people and that the ANC must act against them.
“Across the state, we need this... sharpen the instrument, corruption-fighting instruments across the state.”
Makhura was speaking on the sidelines of the party's fifth National General Council that is being held in Boksburg.
