Makwetla out on bail for fraud

JOHANNESBURG - Former Correctional Services deputy minister Thabang Makwetla, has appeared in the Palm Ridge Specialised Commercial Crimes Court.

Makwetla faces charges of fraud and failing to disclose security upgrades at his home, which Bosasa allegedly paid for.

He has been granted R10,000 bail.

Several government officials have faced scrutiny for their links to Bosasa, a company that secured tenders from the Correctional Services Department.
