CAPE TOWN - EFF leader Julius Malema is slamming President Cyril Ramaphosa over what he calls a lack of execution.
Malema said Ramaphosa’s State of the Nation Address (SONA) was a repetition of old promises and amounted to an election campaign launch.
Nonetheless, Malema welcomed the deployment of the army, saying it could help restore law and order.

However, he criticised Ramaphosa’s promises on water, arguing that the billions in funding mentioned in the speech do not translate into real access for ordinary South Africans.
Malema accused the government of relying on “task teams” instead of taking direct responsibility for failed projects.
He said the president lacks the capacity within the Government of National Unity (GNU) to address the issues he highlights.
The EFF leader also claimed Ramaphosa is using the SONA platform to campaign for his party ahead of upcoming elections.
