PRETORIA - Allegations of tender manipulation dominated Sergeant Fannie Nkosi's testimony at the Madlanga Commission on Thursday.
He dropped the names of Tshwane MMC Kholofelo Morodi and EFF leader Julius Malema.
Morodi is accused of sharing confidential tender documents. And Malema allegedly tried to influence tender processes.
On Thursday, Tshwane Mayor Dr Nasiphi Moya suspended Morodi pending an investigation after it was revealed at the commission that she allegedly shared internal tender documents with Nkosi.
WhatsApp messages before the commission revealed that Nkosi and Morodi were together celebrating her birthday on 2 December 2024. On the same day, Morodi sent Nkosi a message thanking him for making her birthday special.
That message is followed by an internal document with the Tshwane municipality’s recommended specifications for several land lease tenders.
