MAMELODI - The family of Tshiamo and Baleseng Moramaga are speaking out against victim-blaming following the brutal deaths of the two young cousins in Mamelodi East.
This is at the back of Tebogo Mnisi's court appearance, the man accused of killing the women.
The thirty-eight-year-old is facing multiple charges, including premeditated murder.
He abandoned his bail application at the Mamelodi magistrate's court.
Civil society groups and the family of the women have warned that victim-blaming is resurfacing online.
Activists say such comments are dangerous and shift focus away from the real issue: Men who continue to murder women with impunity.
