JOHANNESBURG - Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma, who is suspected of murdering his wife and two young daughters in England, has been arrested in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Tshuma, a British citizen of Zimbabwean heritage, fled the United Kingdom from London Heathrow Airport on a British passport on Saturday.
The bodies of his wife, Zandile Tshuma, 42, and daughters, Natalie, 15, and Nala, five, were found at the family's home in an affluent suburb of Bedford in central England after concerns were raised on Monday.
Tshuma, who is also known as Mark, was apprehended by the South African Police Service and Interpol on Friday.
He will appear in court on Monday.
South African police also confirmed that Tshuma was found in possession of a firearm.
Local authorities say they will investigate whether he entered South Africa with that firearm.
SAPS is engaging with UK authorities.
