JOHANNESBURG - Police are intensifying the search for a second getaway vehicle linked to the murder of Marius van der Merwe.
Investigators have already recovered a white Chevrolet bakkie believed to have scouted the area before the attack. It was found abandoned in Alexandra.

Police say the bakkie is a major breakthrough and is being examined for fingerprints, DNA, and any trace evidence that could identify the attackers.
A second car -- a hatchback also seen in video footage from the night of the shooting -- is still missing.
Police say they’ve identified three persons of interest and are questioning one of them as the manhunt widens.
