PRETORIA - A new state witness is expected to take the stand on Monday in former Defence Minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula's corruption trial.
The State alleges Mapisa-Nqakula accepted R4.5 million in bribes from Defence Department contractor Nombasa Ntsondwa-Ndhlovu. R2.1 million was allegedly paid in cash.

However, she has pleaded not guilty to 12 charges.
Last week, state witness Ntsondwa-Ndhlovu testified that she paid the former Minister a R300,000 bribe disguised as a wig.
She claims "wig" was a code word for cash.
