PRETORIA - National Police Commissioner General Fannie Masemola says Police Minister Senzo Mchunu did not consult him before disbanding the Political Killings Task Team.
Masemola is testifying at the Madlanga Commission.

He said he was on leave and had no idea that Mchunu planned to disband specialised units, including the task team.
Masemola's evidence follows KZN police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi's testimony, which detailed links between politicians and business people accused of trying to interfere in the SAPS.
