It’s unclear whether the pre-trial will finally get underway.
The alleged underworld boss faces several counts of attempted murder.
It includes his former girlfriend, Teboho Thobejane.
The matter was postponed last week.
Matlala’s lawyers also want to fight his transfer to eBongweni Supermax Correctional Centre in Kokstad.
