JOHANNESBURG - Vusimuzi 'Cat' Matlala insists he has no personal or professional relationship with Ignatius Mothakathi.
Mothakathi's name surfaced during testimonies at the Madlanga Commission as part of the so-called Big Five cartel.
"I know Ignatius Mothakathi, Katiso Molefe by virtue of being introduced to them by Msibi whom I rendered services with, no business dealings with them, never sat with them, I don't know anything about their personal lives or the business they are involved in," Matlala
In the same breath, he also denied having close ties with suspended deputy police commissioner Shadrack Sibiya.
"It was not a friendship relationship...He's someone that I knew''
