GQEBERHA - Former president Thabo Mbeki has led a one-day political school for ANC veterans in Nelson Mandela Bay.
He focused on ideological clarity and party renewal. It comes after the region's elective conference was postponed five times for not meeting the 70 percent branch qualification threshold.
The conference, now set for later this month, is highly competitive, with candidates like Mayor Babalwa Lobishe and Luyolo Nqakula vying for the top spot.
Mbeki says they had a closed session with the Nelson Mandela and Sara Baartman regional leadership on Friday.
