MEC pleads for calm in Soweto after e-hailing operator killed

JOHANNESBURG - Calls for justice are growing following this week's deadly shooting at Maponya Mall in Soweto.

Pimville residents blocked roads, forcing the mall to close, after an e-hailing driver was shot dead and two others were injured.

The attacks are believed to be linked to a long-standing conflict between the taxi industry and e-hailing drivers.
