PRETORIA - Medicare24 CEO Mike van Wyk has been subpoenaed to appear before the Madlanga Commission next week.
Earlier this year, Van Wyk spoke to eNCA about his association with alleged underworld figure Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala.
He revealed that Matlala had approached him with an interest in buying a Medicare24 franchise.
The company has also been linked to the R360-million SAPS-Medicare24 Tshwane District health risk management tender.
The tender has come under scrutiny and led to the arrest of several senior police officers.
