PRETORIA - The multi-million rand dispute over Tshwane's Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) compensation has taken a dramatic turn.
The Menlyn Taxi Association is now alleging massive irregularities, missing contract clauses, and invalid agreements signed under questionable circumstances.
Taxi operators took their grievances to the streets and marched to the City's offices.
They claim the City of Tshwane has short changed them and hasn't honoured an agreement to fully compensate them for the lines now operated by the City's A rey yeng buses.

The association says what they were promised on paper, doesn't match what has been paid out.
They handed over a memorandum demands to the city's Roads and transport MMC.
MMC Tlangi Mogale has committed to resolving the taxi operators' grievances.
The City has promised to reply to taxi operators within seven days and wrap up talks on extending the BRT lines from Hatfield to Menlyn Mall.
