MK Party calls for McKenzie's suspension

JOHANNESBURG - The MK Party is calling on President Cyril Ramaphosa to suspend Sports, Arts and Culture Minister Gayton McKenzie.

The party also wants the Madlanga Commission to look into allegations levelled at McKenzie.

Prison inmate Jermaine Prim has accused Patriotic Alliance leadership of having ties with drug cartels.

In an exclusive interview with eNCA, Prim claimed to have communicated with McKenzie while he was in prison. He also claimed the McKenzie had provided him with two cellphones because he wanted Prim to run his social media campaign.

The MK Party has also criticised the Correctional Services department for the manner in which it's handling these allegations.
