MK Party lays complaint against Ramaphosa, Steenhuisen

JOHANNESBURG - The MK Party has filed a formal complaint against President Cyril Ramaphosa and Minister John  Steenhuisen.

It says Ramaphosa and Steenhuisen breached the Executive Members’ Ethics Act.

It relates to their visit to the US to meet President Donald Trump in May.

MK says Steenhuisen advanced a party-political agenda in a diplomatic setting.

Ramaphosa has been referred to the Public Protector for not upholding the dignity, integrity and neutrality of the Executive.

During that meeting, Steenhuisen said the EFF and MKP would not be allowed into the GNU.

The party contends that Ramaphosa did not correct or clarify the Minister's remarks.
