Mkhwanazi and Lerutla return to court in fraud and corruption case

JOHANNESBURG - Suspended EMPD Chief Julius Mkhwanazi and Ekurhuleni Municipal Manager Kagiso Lerutla are due to return to the Boksburg Regional Court on Thursday.

The pair are accused of paying a third party about R40,000 to impersonate Lerutla in court.

Lerutla was due to appear on a speeding charge in 2019, but allegedly missed the court appearance to attend a job interview.
