CAPE TOWN - Suspended EMPD Deputy Chief Julius Mkhwanazi says he fears for his life.
Mkhwanazi says his attorney was shot outside the Booysens magistrate's court earlier this week.
He says people perceive him to be a killer cop.
Mkhwanazi testified before Parliament's Ad Hoc Committee.
"My family, my kids and I, this thing has disturbed them. And it is worrying now as I'm here, my attorney was shot," he said.
"It gives me worries."
